ELECTRICAL   

   Electrical Maintenance wing ensures running of the plant keeping machinery in good condition for continuous production 24/7.

    A.P. Foods has 11 KV line with a separate feeder from Nacharam (Tech Park) Sub-station, specially for supply of uninterrupted power supply under essential service and proposing of 33 KV dedicated HT Line for GAIN Plant & Extruder Plant.

   Electrical Maintenance wing is equipped with qualified as well as trained Engineers and Technicians for rectification of all electrical break-downs in Energy Food Plant as well as UNICEF plant. 

    H.T. Vaccume Circuit Breakers  4 Nos and LT Air Circuit Breakers  2 Nos Panel Boards have been commissioned in the plant in the month of Dec, 2009 for better protection and metering of electrical loads in the plant.  The Breakers detect overloads, short-circuits, earth faults instantly so as to avoid major break-downs to the machinery. 

Electrical wing also giving Technical Training to the personnel from ITI/ Diploma apprentices.

    The total plant capacity is 2200 H.P.

  500 KVA Diesel Generating Sets- 2 Nos with Auto Synchronising panel board commissioned  to avoid uninterrupted power supply.

   The main activities of the Electrical department are:-

  1. Checking all the machinery performance every day and undertaking preventive maintenance works every week in the Energy Food Plant as well as UNICEF plant.
  2. Attending breakdowns in each shift promptly.  
  3. The over-hauling works are undertaken from 0.5HP to 200HP Motors and stand by Spare motors will be kept in workshop.
  4. Diesel Generator Sets of 100KVA  1 No and 500 KVA 2 Nos are being checked for Oil and Water levels every day to avoid power interruption. 
  5. Observing Energy Meter reading every day for maintaining unity load power factor.
  6.  Periodical checking of Transformer oil, HT Vaccum circuit Breakers & LT Air Circuit Breaker, Earth pits, Silica gel, etc. from authorized Agency and obtaining test certificates for submission of the Electrical Inspectorate every year.
  7. For improvement of production, we minimize the breakdown hours from time to time.
